CANNABINOIDS BY HPLC
Can•nab•in•oid
Compounds found in the Cannabis sativa plant which are extracted and formulated into various products for human and pet consumption for their therapeutic benefits.
Cannabidiol (CBD) is the most abundant of the cannabinoids, making up about 40% of the plant resin extract.
Some cannibionoids are psychoactive, such as THC. Non-THC products have little to no THC in favor of non-psychoactive cannabinoid compounds. Cannabinoids interact with specific cannabinoid receptors (primarily CB1 and CB2) on cells in different parts of the central nervous system. The effect of the cannabinoids depends on the brain area involved.
